Beautiful

What an amazing and beautiful game, from the music, to the story to the design, the art detail, it's just beautiful. As a game, it wasn't too hard and wasn't too easy. I can see myself playing this over and over again. There were subtleties I barely noticed and I know there are more, like the reflection near the end, and more. I'll admit, I even teared up a little [a lot] toward the end. I don't even know why.

Amazing.

Not bad

The premise (which I'm still unclear about) is pretty funny. Simple but fun. A few points of improvement, I ran into collision problems when I landed on the corner of a platform. I'd fall into the water (or abyss, or whatever) instead of landing on the platform. Other than that, it's pretty fun.

Some issues

Interesting game. I'd suggest adding an original spin on it, like a theme, or short background story or something to set it aside from other breakout games. I'm having two important issues with it.
1) It seems the music is not playing
2) The "blocker?" gets stuck whenever it hits either side of the screen.

Addictive and Fun

At first I thought it was really difficult, but the more I played the more I realized you cannot win by just shooting, calling for backup, and throwing grenades you need to think about what you're doing now, and what you're doing next. This was a great game and I'm sure I'll be back to play it more. Excellent work!

(FYI, I'm voting 5 btw) :D

I've Got It!

I understand finally! Agent 47's bitter nemesis Agent 43 (you'll get the significance of 43 when you look closely) killed Roland Johnson! Oh wait no, that makes no sense nevermind. (Sorry)

Hm, this is my FAVORITE genre of game, so maybe I was a bit more harsh in judging than I usually am. There's one minor problem I have with the game, the detective seems to be not the very courageous type. How many times does he back down from something major, or a major development - or scream like he's scared? As for slightly larger things, I THINK I got to the end, but I don't know. Does it just start you from the beginning again, or did I close it too soon? Also, there are 2 things I can think of specifically that didn't have any significance in the game by the end, also, what was the point of the television, does it do anything?

[spoiler alert]

I will give you this though, the room on the 4th floor did spook me a bit (but it annoyed me when I couldn't go back).

I don't mean this as discouragement, just as things that rubbed me the wron way as someone who like this genre alot. Keep at it and I think this or others have the potential to come out great. :)

I Took You Up On the Challenge

The only reason I blammed it was because of the challenge, it wasn't because I thought it should be (although I might be likely to vote 1). I liked how it wasn't that annoying thouhg, there's something about its style that's... I don't know, but for some reason I don't completely dislike it. Meh.

You don't dislike it!? what did I do wrong... :P

Very Funny

I loved it, great humor and comically pointless violence. Awesome! :D

Awesomeness

I love "Popcorn"! It's a great song! (oh, and the game rocked too)

I Love This

I totally love this, as it was made in 2004, I'm guessing v2 isn't coming out too soon, and you've gone onto better things, but I love the sound, the video, animation, everything. Great work.

Very Nice

I know I've reviewed this before, but I really like this game, the presentation is the best thing about it. The story, the graphics, the sound, the Portishead song "Roads" mixed with that moody low snow sound is excellent. I don't really know how much is drawn, and how much is from Animatrix, but from the looks some more original art would be really cool - but original or not, again the presentation is great. I hope that the games I'm working on can grab people the same way this does. By the way, are you available for a collab? :D

Oh ands silentthunder8, the composer is Portishead, the song is Roads, the album is Dummy. It's also on the soundtrack of the show "The L Word". Happy music hunting. ^^

Fuzi0n responds:

Thanks a lot for your nice review :] Yea, it was basically all from Animatrix, apart from a few scenes were i'd removed things, or added broken glass. Was quite difficult cutting bits out of a real frame from a film and trying to make it look as if it was meant to be like that.

And yea, i'm actually working on a really big point click/decisions game project at the moment. If you wanna get in touch just contact/PM me on here. The more the merrier.

Thanks again.
