Very original and fairly difficult. I wish I knew what the tan and yellow one was. :( You're right, iot woudl be good to play in groups. I hope to see more like this. :)

Tan and yellow one : Adobe's . . . . . . . . . . .

Ok: total side note: The game took forever for me to load (problem on my end, not yours, slow internet) and I forgot it was loading. Then the multiple gunshot intro scared me half to death!!!

Anyway, neat game. Its best features are, it is fun, it has a compelling story, all with some humor thrown in. Still, it definitely could be better. The graphics were simple, which I guess can work, but this time I think things like the simple text and hand drawn numbers got in the way of the experience. I agree with an earlier reviewer, keyboard actions would have been better than mouse actions. I thought it was fine at first, but soon it became clear that the placement of the next click on the screen was sometimes counter intuitive. How is the player supposed to know to keep their mouse in position to click "Go" when running from the mall guard, or know to prepare to move the mouse to the top of the screen when leaving the mall? Maybe the mouse could work as an option if the clickable spots were more predictable. Another thing that can use improvement, I think the helicopter scene should have a target cursor, instead of an image that appears once you hover over the right thing you're shooting at. It's just something players are more used to. I hope I haven't been to critical. While I believe these changes would make this better, I still had a lot of fun, enjoyed the humor, and felt satisfied once the game was done. :)

Hey thanks for the imput, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. :v

Good Start

This is a good place to start, but this could use some improvement. First, the main character moves WAY too slowly, let him move faster. second, R or Space is more of an intuitive reload button than /. I like the choice of weapons, but more variety when it comes to character would be nice, like a face on the main character, or the zombies wearing clothes or having different faces. Finally, explain the game mechanics, I don't understand why I lose health when I breathe in green zombie smoke. Again, good start.

TehCybernerd responds:

why thank you. the green ones are acid-covered or something. yeah.

It's a Good Start

You clearly have some artistic skill, but as you mentioned in the description it needs work. Some things you can work on:

1) The controls aren't very intuitive. It's much easier to jump using space bar or the up arrow rather than reaching for "G" every time.
2) It'd be easier to go to the next level by making contact with the door, or opening it rather than having to use the mouse to click "Next Level"

If you're looking for feedback I'd suggest taking advantage of the Animation, Flash, and Programming Forums here on Newgrounds (newgrounds.com/bbs). They're always helpful, from what I've seen.

Good luck with the game, I look forward to the final result.

P.S. That song sounds familiar, I used to listen to it all the time many, many years ago. I remember it was a demo song that came with a midi or audio program. What's it called? I like it ... and miss it ... like an abducted child :( ...

gabelossus responds:

that song is called canyon.mid it still exists in Windows 98

Almost no Difference

This is pretty much the exact same as the Tsunami II game you submitted the other day. The only difference is having to shoot the enemies two or three times, the lifebar is now a picture of a bullet and it completely lacks sound. This is pretty much a duplicate of your other submission.

fiuplink responds:

Fine guy. Actually I have that game with 3 different levels and I have files with incomplete and complete game. Ask what i lost that file somehow. Thats what i have left thats why i am sorry for. never mind . so bad.

I Took You Up On the Challenge

The only reason I blammed it was because of the challenge, it wasn't because I thought it should be (although I might be likely to vote 1). I liked how it wasn't that annoying thouhg, there's something about its style that's... I don't know, but for some reason I don't completely dislike it. Meh.

Flash-monk responds:

You don't dislike it!? what did I do wrong... :P

Very Nice

I know I've reviewed this before, but I really like this game, the presentation is the best thing about it. The story, the graphics, the sound, the Portishead song "Roads" mixed with that moody low snow sound is excellent. I don't really know how much is drawn, and how much is from Animatrix, but from the looks some more original art would be really cool - but original or not, again the presentation is great. I hope that the games I'm working on can grab people the same way this does. By the way, are you available for a collab? :D

Oh ands silentthunder8, the composer is Portishead, the song is Roads, the album is Dummy. It's also on the soundtrack of the show "The L Word". Happy music hunting. ^^

Fuzi0n responds:

Thanks a lot for your nice review :] Yea, it was basically all from Animatrix, apart from a few scenes were i'd removed things, or added broken glass. Was quite difficult cutting bits out of a real frame from a film and trying to make it look as if it was meant to be like that.

And yea, i'm actually working on a really big point click/decisions game project at the moment. If you wanna get in touch just contact/PM me on here. The more the merrier.

Thanks again.

Hmm

Sorry, I wasn't really paying attention, maybe it's my ADD or something. I'll play again, it was cute, it was fun, but I was really unsure about what was going on, and was surprised that it ended. Alot more than anything I've ever made (completed) though, that's for sure. Nice work.

Oh, also, I think there should be more SFX and more music.

Plaid-Mime responds:

Well , wow. Thanks! Uhh, I would add more SFX and music, but my sound kinda broke right after I made this. No one understands the story. Well, here it is. Team Bunneh Powah is a superhero team made up of people with rabbit ears radioactively "grafted" onto their heads. Silly is the doll fanatic one. I'm writing scripts for the episodes, you'll understand it alot better then...
But wow, a 7. I think thats my best so far.
