Interesting

I discovered four of the five and read the reviews to figure out [spoiler alert] "Bring me the moon". Seeing this is considered "the best" ending, I began to dislike it. Why is the ideal ending the one where the guy fantasizes about, but can't reach the girl, meanwhile she's sitting there, satisfied and happy, even though she doesn't have him. She never wanted him at all. But then I realized finding all 5 endings isn't the end. When I discovered there's a way for them both to be happy, smile, and have a pink heart over their head, I liked it again. :) If you're about to play this, I'd suggest finding that 6th thing you can do. I found it very satisfying.

Good Start

This is a good place to start, but this could use some improvement. First, the main character moves WAY too slowly, let him move faster. second, R or Space is more of an intuitive reload button than /. I like the choice of weapons, but more variety when it comes to character would be nice, like a face on the main character, or the zombies wearing clothes or having different faces. Finally, explain the game mechanics, I don't understand why I lose health when I breathe in green zombie smoke. Again, good start.

why thank you. the green ones are acid-covered or something. yeah.

I like the Demo

A full campaign would be great. If you're willing to take a chance and add some movement animation that'd totally rock. I'd suggest adding more color so the guns and the background grabs you a little better. Add an Aim Down Sites option so the attachments enhance the experience. And fix the "Scape" typo to "Space".

Nice

Very original idea. I like this. Perhaps it'd be better if the player was allowed to decide which keys control which pong blockers. Or if that's too much, allowing the second set to be controlled by the arrow keys. At least I'd be able to use two hands.

Extra points for originality.

It's a Good Start

You clearly have some artistic skill, but as you mentioned in the description it needs work. Some things you can work on:

1) The controls aren't very intuitive. It's much easier to jump using space bar or the up arrow rather than reaching for "G" every time.
2) It'd be easier to go to the next level by making contact with the door, or opening it rather than having to use the mouse to click "Next Level"

If you're looking for feedback I'd suggest taking advantage of the Animation, Flash, and Programming Forums here on Newgrounds (newgrounds.com/bbs). They're always helpful, from what I've seen.

Good luck with the game, I look forward to the final result.

P.S. That song sounds familiar, I used to listen to it all the time many, many years ago. I remember it was a demo song that came with a midi or audio program. What's it called? I like it ... and miss it ... like an abducted child :( ...

gabelossus responds:

that song is called canyon.mid it still exists in Windows 98

Interesting

I think this game could be spiced up a bit. It's too simple. The character doesn't change as he's moving and the maze isn't very visually appealing. I'm assuming you used MMF or The Games Factory because I recognize the screen shake that occured as a result of collisions back when I used to use it (a very long time ago). Fix that, and that'll make the game better. The maze idea is a good one, and you clearly put a lot of work into designing the mazes. This game has a lot of potential and I think if you put more time into it, it will be a lot of fun.

Interesting Concept

Catch the ____ game can be fun, so good concept. However, I think this game is a little too simple. Here are some things that can make it better

1) Provide a tutorial or quick instructions, it took me a few plays until I figured out the health meter goes down whenever you don't catch the fruit

2) Provide some music. It adds character to the game and lets it stand out from other games.

3) Provide a standing animation. The controllable character looks like he's still running when he's not moving.

4) Replace the sprites with characters that fit the theme a little better. I don't understand why a basketball player is catching fruit from a U.F.O.

Good luck. :)

Well...

This is definitely a unique piece of work. I wish there were more games like this out there that deal with morality and consequences as well as break the mold. Usually at this point, I'd say I can't wait to play it again, but ... yeah ...

Well, lesson learned. Next time I'll read the full description before playing a game...

I really had once chance.

Almost no Difference

This is pretty much the exact same as the Tsunami II game you submitted the other day. The only difference is having to shoot the enemies two or three times, the lifebar is now a picture of a bullet and it completely lacks sound. This is pretty much a duplicate of your other submission.

fiuplink responds:

Fine guy. Actually I have that game with 3 different levels and I have files with incomplete and complete game. Ask what i lost that file somehow. Thats what i have left thats why i am sorry for. never mind . so bad.

This is fun

This is a fun little game. I like that the enemies have numbers showing you how many times you have to hit them, so there's no confusion. I like the implementation of a save option, encouraging people to finish what they started. It's not too easy, not too hard. Nice game.
