At first I thought it was really difficult, but the more I played the more I realized you cannot win by just shooting, calling for backup, and throwing grenades you need to think about what you're doing now, and what you're doing next. This was a great game and I'm sure I'll be back to play it more. Excellent work!
(FYI, I'm voting 5 btw) :D

I thought this was hilarious. I could see how someone might think it's too long, but I enjoyed it. The fact that it was improved makes it even more funny. It might have added to the humor if you used some different camera angles, like close ups of the duct tape. All in all good work. :D

What's the knock on the New Republic? Foreshame :P Heh, great flash, I had no idea about all of the history behind the NYT. :)
Author's Response:
The reporters design was based on Hayden Christensen as Stephen Glass in the movie Shattered Glass. Stephen Glass was fired from The New Republic after it turned out that he fabricated a whole ton of stories and sources.
In retrospect, we could have easily made the character Jayson Blair.

I understand finally! Agent 47's bitter nemesis Agent 43 (you'll get the significance of 43 when you look closely) killed Roland Johnson! Oh wait no, that makes no sense nevermind. (Sorry)
Hm, this is my FAVORITE genre of game, so maybe I was a bit more harsh in judging than I usually am. There's one minor problem I have with the game, the detective seems to be not the very courageous type. How many times does he back down from something major, or a major development - or scream like he's scared? As for slightly larger things, I THINK I got to the end, but I don't know. Does it just start you from the beginning again, or did I close it too soon? Also, there are 2 things I can think of specifically that didn't have any significance in the game by the end, also, what was the point of the television, does it do anything?
[spoiler alert]
I will give you this though, the room on the 4th floor did spook me a bit (but it annoyed me when I couldn't go back).
I don't mean this as discouragement, just as things that rubbed me the wron way as someone who like this genre alot. Keep at it and I think this or others have the potential to come out great. :)

Solid. This wasn't only technically great, it showed off a specific style original to you which I thouhgt made it really great. The humor and wit of the women I thought was great too. I got a little confused after the guy and lady were dancing and then the two ladies came in, and the guy was hiding behind a column, but everything else was great and clear.

That was hilarious and just all around great. The music fit perfectly, the sound effects and background noises fit great. The voice acting and dialog was perfect, I am sooo going to watch this again and show it to other people. (I'm also going to vote on it again, as I felt bad that when I voted 4, it said I LOWERED the score ... sorry).
Great work! :D

Let me just get the small qualms I had out of the way first; early on some of the walking animation seemed a little off, the sound sounded a little distorted, it seemd weird that the dad would write "you may have already seen some monsters" and maybe I'm nitpicking by noticing the grandfather didn't age from when he bought the house to when he'd have to fight off the monsters (either that or he had semi-automatic guns in his youth) but those are TINY details.
The rest of it was GREAT. The voice acting was great, even though it kind of fell into the massive violence pattern of Newgrounds it seemed fitting. I loved the scenes where things literally seemd like they were turning (without 3d software), it was very enthralling.
And the Philip Glass music during the flashbacks; great choice.

It was all really great, it just pulled me in all the way from the beginning to the end, and I liked that you didn't overuse violence like so many other flash artists do. Excellent movie, great art, great animation, some of the art seemd a LITTLE off at some points, but animation's really hard so yeah. Thanks for sharing this with the community. :)
Oh, and another reason to buy a Franz Ferdinand CD :D
